Girly Gadgets have arrived
Bringing Girly Back ...
The age of feminism was great, but encouraged women to be like men. www.girlygadgets.com.au, a new online gift store for girls aims to reverse the negativity of feminism and say to women, hey, itís great to be independent, but remember to stay girly.
Early in 2007, friends, Penny and Belinda were having a girly chat on the verandah, complaining about the lack of household, DIY and outdoor gear made for girls. Belinda in particular had dreams of finding a pink barbecue while Penny wanted to feel a bit more girly when renovating her house. Plenty of research and 8 months later, Girly Gadgets was born. Penny and Belinda were delighted to find pink and red barbecues, pink tool belts, tool boxes made especially for females, bright pink gardening tools and so much more.
Girly Gadgets has brought together an amazing range of girly gifts that stay true to their mission. While making girls feel independent, girls will definitely feel true their girl-hood with this range of sassy, sparkly, girly gifts.
The best news is Girly Gadgets donate 3% of their sales to girls like us. Currently their chosen charity is Mercy Ministries. Mercy Ministries is a national non profit organisation dedicated to providing homes and care for young women between the ages of 16-28 suffering the effects of eating disorders, self harm, abuse, depression, unplanned pregnancies and other life controlling issues.
Girly Gadgets launches on 29 February 2007 just in time for Mums to have a very girly Mothers Day. For more information, please visit www.girlygadgets.com.au
